bungee jets

i am terrified of "bungee jets". you should be too.

as you and your family are peacfully walking across a field of grass and climbing a hill you hear a plane whiz by pretty close to the ground. close enough to see the pilot anyway. it looks like a white waterbug skitting across the sky. you see three or four more moving in the same direction. they are like the amphiious planes you remember from watching o'connell skid across the lake in "northern exposure". soon the sky is flooded with the white planes, the planes you call "bungee planes". you hear the engines and begin to panic. the sky clears again. then in a moment you hear more coming. except they are brown and red (and black too?). hundreds of the bungee planes light right down in front of you and your family (and all the hundreds more people attending the graduation ceremony). there is nowhere to go. they will only catch up with you. and the white bungee planes were supposed to protect you.
