eatin' crow

i've been doing searches for words on flickr and have gotten some interesting images for fly, flight, love- might paint from them

i've been thinking about blackbirds, crows lately. seem to be all around. or it's the winter and i notice them more. maybe crows should fly away (off) with the missing shapes of felix in my current cut-outs?

miwon's words kind of bounce around in my head these days. i'm making little cut-outs from passenger photographs. they are satisfying, dense, unresolved.

i braved the snow storm today (yes, in march) to get to the Girls Night Out show at the Addison Gallery in Andover. It was all video and photography and perfect for me to see (with my interest in photography).

Tim and I have been having a good discussion of our work over email. Maybe I'll post it sometime- only we are not finished yet.

this image is from trish's hair salon. i got my hair cut the same day as felix (he in the morning and i in the afternoon). i looked down at the floor and saw a tuft of his hair--not really a tuft- more like a ball or nest.

been posting on flickr as well. some interesting pic from my model airplane. thinking of some first kiss stories, too for an installation. larry called this morning. a great surprise and encouragement.
