recovering lost things

morning/evening

ofoto traffic images
since February I have been shooting some video of traffic on Dutton street (either while I am running or just watching people on their commute). Last night I was editing some of it--really simple--cutting down some of the blizzard traffic footage to manageable pieces. Then I ran into some take off and landing footage from Prague (Frankfurt, actually). After some success with the koyanisquatsi drawings (and on Chris suggestion to perhaps make larger works) I began to think about making traffic drawings either from my video (proceeded large, somehow, on my studio wall) or simple from direct observation of the traffic during the morning and evening commute. Since I've moved here I've wondered about the people whizzing by my loft; where are they going, do they know who lives here? Do they wonder who watches them? Do they care? Are they tired? Are they happy? Are they late?, all that. The same kind of narrative element I wonder about when I am on a plane (or when I think about Felix traveling).
